I'm happy to report that based on global reaction, we were able to raise more than our goal.
These funds were surely be welcomed by those who have struggled and expended personal monies over the last 30 years to maintain minimal upkeep of the Iraqi Synagogue.
If it wasn't for the unity of our Iraqi community under the umbrella of the BJC programs like the Ettefagh Restoration fundraising drive would not have been possible.
I would like to thank all the contributors who funded this drive looking for nothing in return but cherishing a memory and a reason that is most valid for all of us that a synagogue anywhere needs to be secure and maintained.
